Classroom resources designed for thoughtful learning

Before my work in communications and research, I spent several years in the classroom teaching social studies. The materials shared here grew out of that experience and reflect an approach to teaching that values curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement.

Many of these resources are document- and data-based and were designed for courses like AP Government, AP Economics, U.S. History, and current events. I’ve made them available on Teachers Pay Teachers for educators who may find them helpful.

  • This is by far the best resource I have bought on this website. After going over the concept of GDP, this resource allowed students to visually see how the GDP of the U.S. is broken down by regions, over presidential terms, by states and compared to countries. I LOVE this resource!!!!

  • Very helpful resource! This was easy to implement into my curriculum and was helpful/made planning a little easier for my self contained middle school classroom.

  • This enhances the learning in the classroom. It also helped a great deal with lesson planning, making my weekends become mine again rather than devoted to school work.

  • My students love engaging activities such as these and get so much more out of the lesson when they are challenged. It allows them to make connections with their learning styles.

  • A good current event discussion starter for my government class (and more appealing than a reading). Thank you very much!
